Formerly known as Lycos Tripod, conversis today operates one of the world’s largest free hosting services. In 2009 conversis hosting GmbH took over the free hoster Tripod from Lycos. The takeover saved more than 6 million web pages at the last minute, since these would otherwise been taken off the Internet.
The migration of the data to a new hosting service meant that continued use was guaranteed. The subsidiary of conversis GmbH has since been operating one of the world’s most popular online services for creating homepages under the brand name MultiMania. In addition to Germany, MultiMania is also available to users in Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
MultiMania continues to grow: the new home page builder will soon go to the starting line. New features and functions in a user-friendly setup await the users. This allows anyone to create a search engine-friendly and modern homepage without any programming knowledge in just a few clicks of a mouse.
